Today, we're going to showcase how easy it is to install our Rainier cable rail system. The first step is to lay out all the system components - including the cable infill and the fittings.
Next, you install your first post. After that post is installed, you install the first section of top rail. This is a round top rail system.
To secure the round top rail in place, you will need a bonding agent - which we provide. Secure the top rail to the post.
Once it's in place, attach the next post. And the installation process is post, top rail, post, top rail until you've installed the structure. If this were a flat stainless top rail or a wood and stainless top rail system, you would install all the posts first, and then you would install the top rail. Align the post and insert the stainless bolts. Secure your post to the mounting surface. If you have a base plate cover, slide it into place. To install the cable, insert one end of the cable into the end fitting and secure by crimping.
For the most secure end fitting connections, make your first crimp and then rotate the end fitting one hundred eighty degrees and make your second crimp. Screw the barrel nut fitting onto the end fitting. Next, install the cable through the post hole and pull it away all the way through to the end of the run.
Pull the cable tight against the post and cut it. Cut the cable. Attach the second end fitting and secure by crimping. Pull the cable through the post and attach the barrel nut fitting. Lightly tighten the cable in place with an Allen wrench. Repeat this process for all the cables in this run.
Once all the cable runs are in place, begin to tighten them - starting from the middle run and working your way out from top to bottom. Once you've tensioned all the cable rungs, double check each run to make sure that none of them have become loosened during the process.
You're now ready to enjoy your Rainier cable rail system by AGS Stainless. The advantage of prefabrication - faster installation times rather than having to rely on field modifications like cutting, welding, and grinding on-site. With prefabrication, the rails show up ready to be installed. So, they install very, very quickly. Everything is numbered. Everything is prepped. It's ready to be installed.
