This Olympus bar railing system finishes off the end of a partially enclosed set of straight stairs. Stairs that are mostly covered up by surrounding walls can provide the same level of accessibility when a handrail transitions from being mounted on a railing post to being mounted on a wall. This kind of design won’t have as much of a presence in a room as an exposed staircase, but it subtly conveys a sense of mystery because it is not immediately apparent where the stairs lead. Diversifying elements throughout an interior also introduces variety that creates visual interest and leads to a much more enjoyable experience.
The railing came out really nice. We’re very pleased with the final product. It looks gorgeous.
