I've been with AGS Stainless since August 2013, starting out in the shop as a welder and fabricator before transitioning into office-based design work in early 2025. Before AGS, I spent two years working in heavy equipment repair. I also studied mechanical drafting and am a certified welder.

During my time in the shop, I worked on a wide variety of projects as the lead welder/fabricator. Some of the projects I'm most proud of are the custom curved top rail systems. There is a lot of time and skill involved in fabricating curved top rail, and I really enjoy seeing how all that work comes together in the finished, installed railing. I also enjoyed making custom gates, where many different parts come together to create one finished product.

Having built all different components of our railing systems myself, I have a practical understanding of how the parts fit together and how a design translates into a finished product, which helps me create accurate AutoCAD drawings that can be fabricated and installed successfully.

In my current role, I design all types of railing systems, primarily for residential stairs and decks. The Rainier 36" top-mount flat top rail is the system I work on most often. I use AutoCAD, Odoo, and Excel in my work, helping turn customer projects into complete railing designs. I work with a variety of customers, primarily homeowners, on projects throughout the United States.

Outside of work, my life revolves around my two dogs, Diesel and Ladybug. We're always out enjoying the Pacific Northwest, whether we're fishing, hiking, or running. I also enjoy playing pickleball with the crew at AGS Stainless.
