Stainless Steel Railings Require Less Work From You

February 29, 2016 by Kari Durrant

WHY ORDER CUSTOM-MADE RAILINGS FROM AGS STAINLESS? They Require a Lot less Work from You!

With an off-the-shelf railing product, you drive to the local lumber yard, purchase the materials you need and then you drive home and get started putting it all together. That’s the easy part. It’s once you get home from the lumber store that the work really starts. Because you purchased your railing material in bulk, you will need to cut the posts and top rail to the required lengths and then attach them and the other components together so that they will fit on your home. As you can imagine, off-the-shelf railing products typically require a fair amount of on-site cutting, welding, measuring and piecing together. cable-railing-diy However, before you can even start cutting the material to size you need to calculate a number of things first; the pitch of the deck, the rise and run of the stairs, proper spacing of the infill material, the building code requirements, and much, much more. Juggling all these components is not easy and that’s why the way the railings look on a home often depends on the construction skills of the installer. Is it any wonder that with so much involved most homeowners simply hire a contractor to purchase and install their railings for them? However, with custom-made railings from AGS, it’s a completely different story. AGS makes ordering and installing railings easy because we do all the hard work for you. The first step is that we design and build your entire railing system on paper first. We provide you with CAD (computer-aided design) drawings laying out the entire railing project for your home; every post, every angle, and every stair tread…right down to the 1/16 of an inch! Once everything has been verified for accuracy, only then will AGS begin building your railing system. This attention to detail ensures that your railings fit your home like a glove. diy-railings
