Rhode Island Dock Railing Remodel
Jon, from Rhode Island, decided to remodel the dock on his beautiful lakefront home in New England. He appreciates quality and craftsmanship, so his interest was piqued when he discovered AGS Stainless, a custom railing manufacturer that works with homeowners and contractors all over the US and beyond.
“The railings are gorgeous. I’m extremely happy with the way the finished project turned out, and we’re getting lots of compliments from our neighbors on the lake!
The quality, workmanship, and precision of the AGS Stainless railing system I chose for my deck and dock replacement were all exceptional. The design experience was very impressive. AGS designers use photos and measurements I supplied to create very detailed design drawings that they sent back to me for approval. Once I approved the drawing, the manufacturing process began.
Each piece was fabricated specifically for my job. The packaging process was also excellent, eliminating any chance of damage in shipping. I installed the railing system myself, using the assembly instructions and tools supplied by AGS. Overall, I am extremely happy with how the railing looks and how beefy but graceful it is. I highly recommend AGS Stainless”. Jon, RI
Jon’s dock has multiple access points to the lake. Sometimes, the railing post at the bottom of the steps leading down to the water is completely submerged. Jon was looking for a durable railing solution that would deliver a beautiful aesthetic and meet the challenges posed by the dock design and East Coast weather.
AGS prefabricates custom-designed railing systems from marine-grade 316 stainless steel. The company carefully manufactures and selects every component to ensure optimal corrosion resistance. The railing systems are then shipped with all the parts and hardware included, making them easy for the homeowner or contractor to install.
Jon supplied his project measurements to AGS and scheduled a design consultation. After talking to an estimator, he realized that AGS was the perfect fit for his job and decided to proceed with the project.

With direct access to the water, Jon wanted to take advantage of all the lake had to offer. Providence County’s mild summers and the lake’s protected waters make aquatic adventures enticing, whether paddle boarding, kayaking, or all aboard the pleasure cruise.
The deck design features a Rainier cable railing with side-mount posts and a wood handrail. The handrail on the stairs has surface-mount posts. The tops of the posts feature stem reducers, an elegant detail that gives the railing system a distinctive look.
