Within the past couple of years, we've added our new fiber laser tube cutting machine. This machine improves efficiency here in our factory and also gives use a higher quality product for our clients. Let me show you how it works.
So, the first step in the process is the 2-D drawing that's created by our design department. That's the drawing that has railing system for your house all designed out. It's got the posts, top rail, the measurements - all those things detailed. That's delivered to our laser operators, who will then convert that drawing into a 3-D rendering.
For the next step in the process, the laser operator will upload the 3-D rendering into the laser cutter, make a few final adjustments and then, with the push of a button, create your new railing system.
And out comes a beautiful post. This post has been cut to an accuracy level of 4/1000ths of an inch. All of our insertions for all of your infills (cable, glass, bar) are cut into the post. The post is numbered for easy installation. There's no deburring necessary. This post is ready to go into fabrication, cleaning, and then delivered to you.
Our laser tube cutting machine is so precise, we can use it to fabricate the housings on our StarLight solar-powered LED accent light. We have a number of designs that we carry in-house or we can custom cut a design for your next project.

Submit Simple Sketch.
After you submit a simple sketch with measurements and any relevant photos, a design consultant will work with you or your contractor to discuss expectations, applications, constraints, compliance, options, and maintenance. Design decisions at this point include measurements, infill, top rail, finish, and any stair details. Then your design consultant develops a cost estimate and a work plan for your consideration at no cost to you.

Review CAD Drawing.
Review a CAD drawing of your railing. Once you have approved the cost estimate and work plan for your railing system, a specially trained designer establishes a working relationship with you or your contractor to go over every detail. Reviewing the details of your stainless steel railing design can be done in-person, by email, or over the phone. After that, your designer creates detailed computer-aided design (CAD) drawings with software to ensure that you will receive your desired look with a perfect on-site fit. The design department at AGS Stainless uses a software called AutoCAD, which is the industry standard that architects, engineers, and construction professionals rely on to create precise 2-D drawings. AutoDesk originally developed AutoCAD to create a better 2-D CAD drawing tool that would make design easier. Railing features like infill, posts, top rails, finishes, and stair details can be included in a CAD drawing. Your designer can then send this CAD drawing to your email address as a PDF.

Wait for Fabrication.
Wait for your railing to be fabricated and delivered to you. Marine grade 316 stainless steel tube laser cutting uses a laser beam and dry nitrogen to precisely cut StarLight outer shells and railing systems under the Clearview® brand. Custom laser cutting designs are available for StarLights. Otherwise, you could pick from a variety of popular and affordable ones that include Classic, Black Classic, Bubbles, Lantern, and Orbs.
