Curved Stainless Railing Helped Win NADRA’s 2025 Overall Deck of the Year

When NADRA announced the 2025 National+ Deck Awards in January 2026, one project stood above the rest: “Kiki” by Dr. Decks in Washington. Named Overall Winner after taking multiple category first-place honors, this deck is a true work of art — and we’re proud that our custom stainless steel cable railing played a starring role.

Building a One-of-a-Kind Deck on Piles

Kiki presented unique structural and aesthetic challenges from day one. Built atop 14 inch round wood piles, the redesign required aluminum framing with multiple curves, a compound-curved tilt-back bench, and a railing system that could match the deck’s dramatic lines without compromising strength or safety.

Dr. Decks brought 35 years of experience to the build, but the railing demanded precision that most systems simply can’t deliver on-site.

AGS Stainless Delivers the Curve

That’s where AGS came in. Our team worked closely with Jason to engineer and prefabricate a full marine-grade stainless steel cable railing system featuring a sweeping 12-foot radius curved top rail. Every component was custom-designed, the curved section precisely-rolled, and finished in our Washington facility before shipping to the job site.
